JAPAN KARATE INSTITUTE WADOKAI, CHIANG MAI, is proud to be the first Japan Karatedo Federation Wadokai Branch Dojo in Thailand.  Furthermore, as far as we can tell, we are also the first Wado Ryu style karate dojo in Thailand.

Wado Ryu karate is one of the four major styles of traditional Japanese karate, along with Shotokan, Goju Ryu, and Shito Ryu.

As a recognized Branch Dojo of JKF Wadokai, Japan Karate Institute Wadokai, Chiang Mai, is directly affiliated with JKF Wadokai Headquarters in Japan, which in turn is affiliated to Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF).  Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF) is affiliated with the World Karate Federation (WKF), the world governing body of traditional Japanese karate.  The World Karate Federation represents Japanese karate to the International Olympic Committee.  The WKF has the aim of promoting, organizing, regulating and popularizing the sport of karate all over the world, of protecting the physical and mental health of the athletes, of contributing to the development of friendly relationships among the National Federations and of defending the interests of karate throughout the world.
